Lodge Support

The items on these pages are resources for lodges to improve their programs.  However, we are always looking for new ideas and information to add to this site so we can improve our lodges.  If you have any suggestions on how to improve Section W-1B's support of lodge programs or ideas for items to include in this portion of the website, please email them to our Section Vice Chief.

101 Lodge Program Ideas

This page is dedicated to ideas to make lodge programs better. However, we need your help to make this page useful. Please send your lodge program ideas to the Section Chief.

Brotherhood Conversions

  1. Charge for brotherhood when people pay for the ordeal. For example, if you charge an $10 for members to get their brotherhood, which basically covers the sash, add that $10 to the price of the ordeal. It is a good selling point when trying to get people to get their brotherhood because they do not need to pay for it. If you don't want to add the full amount, you could charge 50% of the cost of the sash with the assumption that only half of the ordeal members will get their brotherhood.

Elangomat Programs

The Elangomat Program is a well established National program. Wa-La-Moot-Kin Lodge #336 has created these documents to help them facilitate this program within their lodge. The handbook and program syllabi are intended to be used together for an Elangomat training course. It is recommended to include page 12 of the Ordeal ceremony into the back of the handbook.  This is the part where Kichkinet talks to the candidates outside the ceremony grounds.
