Conclave 2005 - A Great Success! 253 Arrowmen from Alaska and Western Washington convened at the Cascade Scout Reservation in Monroe, Washington for the 2005 Section W-1B Conclave. Our theme for the weekend was “Building a Foundation Starts with You.”

Delacruz picked up a Vigil certificate for the lodge at the show. ** There was tons of spirit at Conclave this year. Nick Davis, ICE CVC, pounding the floor with his steel pipe really got things going on Friday night. Kootz or Toontuk. 250 is the expected amount of participation. Activities (Peter Crane, CVC) needs seven more staff members and a certified rifle range director. Plans to have boffing, capture the flag, ultimate frisbee, run around the lake, rifle or archery and volleyball. Budget is $500. ICE (Nick Davis, CVC) Looking into to medals for competition winners. Need to change the word "regalia" to "costuming". Not sure on budget. Publications (Karl Sergojan, CVC) Needs copier, table, biographies, 4 reams of paper and toner. Budget is $330. Shows (Paul Sayre, CVC) He has 5 staff members. Friday night will be a video. On stage, real world with conflict, plot and resolution. Film on April 9th at Brinkley from 10-4. Not sure on budget. SOAP (Ivan Lewis, CVC) SOAP expo, lodge information from council camps. 1-4:30 on Saturday. Not sure on budget. Special Events (Andrew Schaefer, CVC) totem pole puzzle on Friday night. Ultimate Frisbee. Needs one more grill with 2-4 youth and 2-4 adult cooks for Hot dog stand (will charge a fee). Flag ceremonies: youth from various lodges. Religious Service. Auction will be on deck outside lodge or in lodge if raining. Budget is $600. Training (Jim Stenstrom, CVC) New classes. Advisers, Arrow of Light Ceremonies, Becoming a Certified Visitation Team, Communications for Newly Elected Members, Making a Chapter Website, Member Retention, OA Representative, Utilizing Natural Resources, What is Keeping You from Being a Quality Lodge?
