Putting Bill Downs, then the National Adult Mucky
Muck in the same cabin as my former Webelos Den Leader Glen Edmison.
Glen was helping with the Indian dance competition and exhibition--and
spent the night prior practicing his drumming in the cabin. The next
morning Bill complained that he had a hard time getting to sleep due
to his cabin mate's drumming. Keep in mind Bill got paid because of
our rituals, that should have been music to his pocketbook! |

I'm looking forward to my son Justin (born May
2001) becoming a Scout |
(Article written by Robert Wotton for the 2002 Conclave Chronicle)
Since completing my second term as Section Chief in 1984, I served as
Assistant Scoutmaster for my former troop in Shelton, graduated from the
University of Puget Sound with a degree in Business Administration and
Political Science in 1986, and served as the Mason District Chairman in
the Tumwater Area Council in 1987. Today I help represent the small
business lobby from my home base in King County. Through the years I have
found my Scouting experience invaluable in business, civic and leadership
roles. My wife Julie and I are the proud parents of Justin Chase who will
celebrate his first birthday next month. We are looking to the day he can
enroll in the great Boy Scout experience! Last Updated:
