Adults: are you planning on attending conclave?

If you answered yes, we have a simple request from you, help bring youth arrowmen to conclave.

Just fill up your van, car bus or truck with the Arrowmen in your troop, and drive on up to Conclave at Camp Fire Mountain

Just why do we want "Johnny scout" to attend conclave? Well, the youth are the future of the Order, and Section W-1B wants to improve the Order of the Arrow by developing even stronger future leaders. And Conclave is an excellent place for development, both through training, fellowship and simulations. Conclave is designed for these future and current leaders, and without your continued support, the Order deviate from "Onward and Upward".

We have proposed a program that would be motivational for both adults and youth, and adults, you are not limited in sponsoring one youth either.

The program works like this:

• An adult selects capable youth eager to further their development in Scouting
• The Arrowmen conduct fundraising to cover 1/3 of the Conclave fee
• The adult pays 1/3 of the Arrowmen's Conclave fee
• The parents (or Arrowmen themselves) pay the remainder 2/3
• Have a blast at the Biggest Conclave in America
• Have stronger youth leaders for you troop, chapter and lodge
• Plus, you'll feel awesome that a kid came to conclave thanks to you

Some Lodges have taken this proposal and run with it, and have several adults lined up for sponsoring youth. This is awesome. If you have not started yet, there is still time, but don't delay, conclave is in April. If an adult would like to sponsor a whole youth's conclave, it is acceptable, however, if the proposed program was followed, three youth could attend, versus just one, a much more sound investment.
